Black Mirror

Opening title workshop

During the three days of the opening title workshop at Gobelins school, we had to create a new animated visual identity for the show Black Mirror. We chose to represent the technology through graphic animations of F.U.I (Fantasy User Interface), then dynamise the whole thing by destructuring the typography.

The show presents situations where technology gets out of control. To represent this idea, we experimented by distorting the animated typography using a projector and different supports such as mirrors, tracing paper and rhodoid. This allowed us to obtain unexpected results, letting the technology reveal itself through different materials. We filmed these experiments and overlaid them in the edit to create rich and unpredictable compositions.
